Resin Printing: Exceptional Detail, Higher Responsibility
Resin (SLA / MSLA) printers produce extraordinarily smooth surfaces with layer heights as fine as 0.01 mm. They are favoured for miniatures, jewellery moulds, dental models, and anything where surface quality is the top priority.
The trade-off is significant: liquid resin is toxic, requiring nitrile gloves, UV-blocking goggles, and a respirator with organic vapour cartridges. Post-processing involves an IPA wash followed by UV curing. A dedicated, well-ventilated area is non-negotiable, making resin less practical in compact Singapore apartments without a proper setup.
